Last year we dropped a long review of the Tin HiFi T3 on our YouTube channel, with some key comparisons. I personally am not a videomaker, so the quality was pretty bad, the video wasn't scripted and the content wasn't entertaining. I mean, it's a review, it's not meant to be entertaining. But it could be catchy, it could look good, it could give a sense of professionalism. And that's why we had this goal: reach 10k views to drop the review of the new model, the T4. It was a difficult achievement for an unknown channel, I admit. We had to publish it before reaching that number. And we tried a different approach.
A production, good lights, a script, some cinematic B-rolls. But is that actually entertaining? The video is much less appreciated, even because we didn't get a pre-production unit like last year, so we came late. Is there something we can learn? Sure. Timing is key. Everybody already knows how the Tin T4 sound: our review is needless. There are products we have which are less reviewed on the scene but searched a lot, and that's the direction where we'll go. I think we'll choose some ingredients: no script, just key words; good shoots; more comparisons than reviews; as always, original background music. It's like a hybrid between last year's super appreciated low quality video and this year's forgotten cinematic one. What do you think about it? Is there something you'd rather us doing? Feel free to comment here or on our social media pages. Cheers.
P.s. we'll start shooting again when the lockdown for Covid-19 will be over. The studio where we shoot is not my house (Riccardo).
